6-Week Rural Interprofessional Preceptorship:Sunday, April 1, 2018
A six-week, full-time rural immersion program for highly motivated students to learn in a real-world setting that promotes health professionals from different disciplines working together and supports learning through active and organized participation in a rural community.

AHEC Scholars:Sunday, May 6, 2018
A competitive two-year cohort program that expands on health professions student education and training. Students participate in two in-person, 1.5-day, summer institutes in addition to completing an underserved health experience. The 2018 AHEC Scholars Program is affiliated with the East Central AHEC office located in Gibson City, Illinois and will host the summer institutes at a TBD location in the Eastern Illinois/ Urbana-Champaign region. Additional work throughout the two-year program is completed by AHEC Scholars through distance-based learning.

Rural Health Experience:Summer season early consideration deadline: Sunday, April 1, 2018.
A 3-5 day rural immersion experience in which students observe rural healthcare professionals and their communities. Limited placements may be available outside of summer season. Applications for other seasons are accepted on a rolling basis.
