Volunteering with ISAS + KC-CASA is an enriching and rewarding way to help fight sexual violence. There are 2 ways Volunteer Advocates can work with ISAS + KC-CASA: as a comprehensively trained Crisis Interventionist or as a Community Ally.

The United Way of Kankakee & Iroquois counties funds 45 programs at 24 agencies. The focus of this funding is in the areas of education, income, health and basic needs. Catholic Charities
Volunteers are always needed for the fundraisers that Catholic Charities hosts throughout the year.  There are a variety of different opportunities, including planning events, volunteering at events, helping secure silent auction donation items, creating beautiful baskets for auctions, etc.

Kankakee County Health Department
The Kankakee County Health Department Environmental Health Division conducts routine inspections of public facilities such as restaurants, grocery stores, schools, tanning facilities, etc. The Kankakee County Environmental Health Division will also respond to complaints made by private citizens regarding unsanitary conditions within the county that do not meet current code standards.

KC-CASA

Livingston County United Way
Volunteer Livingston, a program of the Livingston County United Way, helps to connect area residents with rewardsing volunteer oppertunities. As the need for human services grows in Livingston County it is our goal to assist in mobilizing volunteers to meet the needs of area non-profits and help to strenthen and support local volunteer programs. Volunteer Livingston, which launded in 2002, has sucessfully connected thousands of volunteers with oppertunities that match their intrests and skills.

We know our shelter can be overwhelming at times...don't be shy about volunteering!  Give us a few minutes and we will help you get your feet wet in no time!   Our staff and volunteers are excellent with the animals and patient with the humans!  We want you to feel comfortable at our shelter!  Come and out and visit with us...for the animals' sake!
